Perfect for my purpose. I have a travel trailer which will get condensation, mold and mildew inside it if it is not warmed slightly in the winter. It used to be that I could just leave a 100 Watt light bulb on in the winter, but alas, real 100 Watt bulbs are no longer to be found. The new LED ones only put out a few paltry Watts of heat even though they make lots of light. Same for the CF lights.

So, one of these little heaters is the solution. Plug it in in October and just let it run until March. Electricity use is not very much, and just a few degrees keeps the trailer mold and mildew free. I still need to keep a 110 V light bulb on in the trailer, just to let me know that the electricity is still on in there and the heater is working, but an LED works just fine for that job.

Going to buy a second one for the pump house this winter. We insulated it, and can keep the water lines from freezing with a little heater like this instead of a 1400 Watt electricity pig.

This mini heater is the PERFECT size for those looking to inconspicuously warm up. My office was so cold, I had a hard time working, but we could not have heaters, so I had to take my larger, noisier heater (an old one from Honeywell) home. This one is about the size of a computer speaker (maybe 1/2 inch wider) and much quieter (although still audible in a quiet office). I will say that this heater does not pack as powerful of a punch as my larger one did, but it got the job done. It will heat up the area immediately surrounding it. So, if it is on the floor, your feet and legs will be warm. If it is on the desk, your hands and arms will be warm. It will not heat up an entire office or cube or a whole body. I was thinking about getting a second one (one for on top of my desk for my hands and another on the floor for my feet), but (thankfully) I moved to another office that is not so bad. When it gets chilly in there, I have this little guy on the floor to warm me up. It has an auto shut-off if it tips over, so if that is a requirement, you are good to go.

As a note, this is just a heater. It does not have a fan function. So, if I get caught, there is no doubt that its a heater. lol With my other heater, I could tell people I used it to cool off my office because it had two fan options and a heat option. This one just heats up.

It isn’t a magic heater that will warm a room with the power of a 150-200 watt light bulb. It’s as advertised, a personal heater, not a space heater and produces a quiet, warm breeze on top of your desk or under it. I live in a loft above a garage and with the bathroom as the only exception, no internal walls and a 12ft ceiling. It stays cool in the warm weather but this time of year I would go to the poorhouse trying to afford heat. I have a large self-standing tent over a couch and chairs heated with a regular 1200w space heater… my guests enjoy “camping out” inside. I also have a pop-up privacy tent that fits nicely over a reclining chair like a canopy which I pull up to my computer table. This heater keeps a warm billow of air around me while the rest of my cave is in the forties. For me, it’s perfect! I do my computer work in the great indoors. If you are looking to heat anything larger than a closet, than this is not your choice.

I give this mini heater 5 stars. For its size, it really does a great job. I work in a traditional office space and it gets quite cold by mid-day. I keep this heater on my floor about 6 inches from my feet and it heats my feet and legs nicely. If there is a slight draft I put it on low, and if it is outright cold I put it on high and that is where this little things shines. It will not, of course, heat your entire body. But I keep a scarf for around my shoulders and I am usually comfortable enough to make it through the day. Since it is low wattage, I feel confident that it will not trip the circuit at work and it is discreet in black. Also, this heater is not incredibly noisy- especially since it is under the desk. It sounds like a small fan on the lowest setting. Not loud at all, so that is also good so that you don’t get tired of hearing it, or disturb your coworkers.

This little heater is really surprising. I use it to heat the rear section of my SUV. When sleeping in the vehicle, I place a divider behind the front seats, which reduces the area to be heated. With a secondary, deep cycle battery, and a full sine wave inverter, it heats my small area very well. If I were in a larger vehicle, it would not be sufficient, but for my purposes, and especially at the price, it’s a good value.

I kept blowing out the electricity in the ancient government building (1880s) that my office is located in with a regular space heater. Single pane windows that do not shut all the way is where my desk is located, so I needed something. Since my cell phone charger did not blow out the electricity when plugged, in I decided to look for a space heater that uses no more than a cell phone charger.

This is it. It is not powerful. It will take at least an hour to get the area where I am sitting warmed, so that I am not a complete popsicle. I keep it under my desk to create a pocket of warm air because I work in a space with 16 other people, but it does help in February when the temperature is 20 degrees. I am considering getting a second to see if that would help. If you sit in an enclosed office, this should definitely be enough. And it has a tip over safety function.
