I have purchased two of these in the past couple of years –One for our bedroom and one downstairs. Last month I filled one of them up and it kept flashing a red light. I went to their website and filled out a contact form describing my problem on a SATURDAY NIGHT. Within one hour I had an email telling me to see if the blue seal was missing around the cap. She said if that was the case they would send a replacement right way. She didn’t ask when I purchased the humidifier. She didn’t ask for my proof of purchase, she just offered to fix it.

To be honest, I didn’t think that was going to be my problem since I had been thoroughly troubleshooting this for a couple of hours. I went to look and compare both caps and sure enough one was missing the blue seal. I then looked around my nightstand and found a blue rubber seal (I would never had known what it went to had she not told me). I put it in the cap and BINGO it worked again. Amazing customer service. If you have any issue, definitely go to their website and get help.

We bought the humidifier primarily to help keep out baby’s room from getting to dry, and loved everything about it. The 2 output levels are useful when adjusting for different sized rooms. The light, which can be turned off, is perfect as a night light. No need for an additional light in the room. The 1.5 l tank is plenty big for an average sized room.

What really impressed me was the customer service. When we had an issue with the unit, I contacted the manufacturer (Pure Enrichment). I received a response in less than 24 hours along with detailed instructions on how to troubleshoot the problem. I was unable to resolve the problem so I decided to call the company. To my surprise someone answered the phone after only 2 rings; a real person. He was very friendly, professional and answered all my questions. He advised me on what to do next and it was all taken care of within a few minutes. All this took place over the Thanksgiving weekend.

In the the description is states ” caring customer support 7 days a week”. That is a true statement. Very impressed, I highly recommend supporting this company and it’s products.

And no, I’m not getting compensated in any way for writing this review. I just believe in giving praise when it is deserved. It seems to get more difficult these days to find a company that supports it’s products after the sale, so this was a refreshing experience.

I’ve been using this for a few months now. It’s fine and is better than nothing. Pros: easy to clean, quiet, water can last for about 15 hours on low use. Cons: the water does not last long enough. If it’s put on high it literally splashes water all over the end table. My fiancé says I sleep better when it’s on and snore less. It gets hot in our bedroom and this helps. I had a different product like this in the last that cost more and worked better but was difficult to clean. Def. use the tablets that are suggested to help keep it clean.

While it runs a long time for being so small, I’ve only had it literally 10 days and it’s already got buildup inside water resovoir … impossible to clean. Even after
Using white vinegar and water soak, even bought a baby bottle brush to try to clean the sides. Nothing worked . Only had it a week!!! 😩. And I hate how the two top pieces on the top outside of humidifier, come off. Also, the condensation from the tube in which the mist comes out, drops all over the floor when you want to pick it up and turn it over and refill it…. it’s not too terribly top heavy so that’s good. I even emailed to receive a filter for the thing and I don’t think that would do any good at this point … 🙁

After 5 years of service, my old ultrasonic humidifier quit working. As I always do, I researched a replacement. Pure Enrichment’s model PEHUMIDIF Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier came out as the best choice for me. After receiving my first unit, I was so satisfied I ordered a second unit two days after receiving the first, one for my bedroom and the other for my office. What I like most is the reasonable price, manageable size of the water container and no needleless fancy options that I never used on my older model. The blue light is cool too!

You can’t clean the bottom of the tank and pink slimy mildew builds up. I have been using this for one year at the bed time every night. Every morning I drain the water and put upside down to dry inside during the day and fill up with water right before bed time. Mildew still grows inside. I don’t know how to clean it unless you can take the bottom part apart but it’s not designed so. It was clean for first 3 months or so and after then I can clean only where my fingers and brush can reach. I’m going to throw this away soon.

    Update on 4/9/18
The customer service is great and they really try hard to meet our expectation. They sent me a new model of this called “pure enrichment Hume” which tank is easy to clean. Though that doesn’t change the review of the Pure Enrichment MistAire.., I will give one more star for their excellent customer service. I hope people will still shop from this company, especially this new model looks great.

Purchased this humidifier after midnight when my husband accidentally broke the cute owl humidifier in our sons room by Crane. I have to say I am so glad it broke and I bought this one!

    Pros:
    – you can detach the plugin from the base! This way I can empty the base every day (like you’re supposed to) without having to get to the outlet. Amazing how something so small makes it so wonderful.
    – it’s extremely quiet you almost don’t know it’s on
    – the night light is great for a little extra light when the baby wakes up unexpectedly at 3am and you want to change him but don’t want to turn on the bedroom light.
-I love how much water it holds and that it seems to last 2-3 days depending on the high or low setting

    Cons:
    – I hate that It beeps when you are setting the speed and light. I worry it will wake my son so set it up ahead of time
    – I wish there were separate settings for the speed and light. Sometimes I want it on high and hate having to press the button four times.

Overall it’s well worth the money!

Update: After I wrote this review (3 stars, not excellent or really bad), I was issued a full refund without having asked. When I realized I was missing a gasket, they sent me a new gasket. Then when I lost the power cord they said they don’t sell replacements but would send me a new one. They sent a WHOLE NEW humidifier. Even if I don’t really love the product I am surprised by how willing they are to help customers with free goods and refunds. That being said, I couldn’t keep up with the cleaning well enough to avoid mildew, so I’m going to gift to someone who is more regimented about cleaning! I bought a big Vicks hot humidifier for our nursery just because it’s easier to deal with and has a compartment for cough suppressant. Otherwise if you think this might work for you, can’t hurt to try it!

I got this upon recommendation from a doctor when I came down with a mild flu, while pregnant, as a way to ease symptoms without additional meds. I’d argue that maybe if you’re over 40 all you hear is a ‘whisper’, but I can definitely detect a higher-pitched noise behind it. Like the high frequency that a TV emits when it’s muted. The noise did bother me and my husband when we tried to sleep, and even the light from the power button alone is pretty bright in a dark room, but I kept it near the bed with a towel wrapped around everything but the tip to help with both of those things. Probably wouldn’t be recommended by the manufacturer, but I didn’t see any risk. After using it for a couple days I wasn’t sure that it had contributed to any improvement in my sinuses, but I think I did notice feeling even more dry the first day I turned it off and didn’t bother refilling it. So, I’m pretty sure it made some difference, and to be fair I haven’t tried other humidifiers to compare it to. I was going to return it, but I was told it’s good to have a humidifier on hand for when the little one gets here. Will give it another try then.

So for the last several weeks, I have been experiencing the negative effects of dry air in my home, particularly in my bedroom. My nose has been dry and sore with inflamed nasal passages along with my nose running “like a sugar tree” . Sleeping with a fan as I have done for the past 15+ years became impossible. I don’t know about you, but that combination makes for a miserable sleep. Anywho, I had never needed or used a humidifier until this purchase. Let’s just say that my dreams have returned and I’m waking up to a nice mist rather than a pillow of Kleenex and a sore nose. Life is good.

After researching and reading reviews of several products, I settled on this Ultrasonic model and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. It’s a simple setup – add water, plug in and select low or high speed (both give the option of turning the blue light on or off).

The Ultrasonic is whisper quiet with the occasional echo of water, not dripping, but a soft cascade as if it were a mini water fall. I find it rather soothing, a bit of “white noise” which is good because I haven’t plugged my fan back in as yet. The water reservoir is easy to fill (I use distilled water) and it’s ready to go. The mist is cool, not overpowering and not “smoky” and you can turn the nozzle into the desired direction.

Ok, there you have it! I’m Happy and a bit Sleepy now!

  10. L. Davis

I enjoy this product. It is aesthetically pleasing, quiet and efficient. Additionally, it is sleek and easy to clean. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best), I rate this product a 5. No complaints.

Originally, I was disappointed with the product because of the blue light that glows when the machine is running. I am a very light sleeper and need a very dark room and the glow from the light was a bit too much for me. However, the machine always worked exactly as described. This humidifier is so incredibly quiet when it is running, provides a perfect amount of cool mist, is easy to clean, and has a large reservoir. I own one other cool mist humidifier and one warm mist humidifier and this one is by far the quietest and the easiest to clean. Now after owning it for a few months, I am totally satisfied with not only the product itself, but with the customer service from this small business. The company reached out to me voluntarily to say they have offered a solution for my slight disappointment. In all the years I have shopped on Amazon – and I am a very frequent shopper on here – I have NEVER had a company reach out to me with a solution that went above and beyond what was needed. I am truly blown away by their customer service and the way they stand behind the products they sell.

  12. Shelbee Lee

I’ve never used a humidifier before, so the whole experience is new for me. However, I powered the Ultrasonic Cool Mist on and within an hour I noticed the air felt significantly different in my apartment. I live in the northern US, so I’m used to dry, cold winters and the dry noses / skin that accompanies them. However, since using this product every night, I’ve noticed the cracks are healing and not coming back!

Even though the function is excellent, I’m also impressed by how silent the machine is. We put it in our bedroom, and I have no problem falling asleep. There is a blue light that can be turned on for the machine, but I found that to be too bright for me to sleep, so I simply turned it off, as it’s not required for the machine to run.

I’ve become used to buying mediocre products because it seems as though no one takes the time to design a quality product, but this humidifier proved me wrong. 10/10 would buy again, and I’ve recommended it to my family and friends.

My entire condo is dry, so thought I would start with the bedroom….I probably should have purchased a bigger unit, and thought this WAS bigger than it is. I was a little surprised at how small it was. However, I am still very happy with it. I have never had any room humidifier experience.
As for the cool mist, I was not familiar with it, and had actually purchased a unit with steam type mist (different manufacturer) which was immediately returned since I saw/felt no relief. You can add water to this without having to wait for a 20 min cool down period – it’s already cool. I am using Brita filtered water, which I store up in gallon water jugs so always ready. I have switched from running it on high to low, and only need to fill 2-3 times a day (I’m running it 24/7) It’s easy to remove the top, fill, and pop back on. don’t over tighten. I have no problem with white dust, no moisture on furniture. I keep it on an oak dresser next to the bed, on a decorative plastic tray. When you lift up the top, hold it tilted over the unit for a few seconds so the water on it can drip back down into unit. I was so pleased with this I purchased another of this brand, only much larger for my living room. You can easily turn off the blue ‘nightlight’ which I find way too bright, however, for those who want it, it’s very pretty/relaxing….I could see leaving it on when I just want to relax or just for ambiance. I put a small object in front of power switch to block that light. All depends where you are placing the unit if it will bother you or not. Runs very quiet, with an occasional gurgle of water.

Excellent! Helps my cat with asthma! Super Quiet & love the Night Light! 5 Star Highly recommended for both adult and pets!

  15. A. Smith

    Excellent cool mist humidifier.

    Pros:
AC adaptor is on the back of the tank and not on the bottom.
The unit is fairly easy to clean but like all humidifiers, they have little nooks and crannies that are tough to get and develop the pink mold stuff.
Holds a fair amount of water and allows me to run it all night on high for 2 nights before refilling (approximately 15 hours total- maybe a little less if it is bone dry in the winter).
    Silent when on
4 settings: low with light, low with no light, high with light, high without light (you toggle through settings with touch sensor on front)
Comes with little brush to clean the sonic tab

    Cons:
Power button is touch (not a real button) and each time you turn it on, or change the level/light, it makes a VERY loud beep. You cannot turn it off.
The top nozzle comes off in two parts (not a deal breaker at all, just not necessary)

  16. Albert J. Ferrigno

Technically performance is excellent. However, gratuitous styling detracks from the overall usefulness of the item. The reservoir must be filled everyday, however the design makes it difficult to fill the the reservoir. The shape of the water reservoir makes it very very difficult to lift, refill and reinsert – and water is always dripping on the floor and the furniture as you make your way to replace the reservoir. A simple screw cap at the top of the reservoir that could be refilled using a water bottle/soda bottle, etc., would be a 1000% of what is there. This is a perfect example of what someone thinks is style without regard for practicality. Would not purchase another one. Good engineering overshadowed by completely unnecessary styling.

Love the small humidifier I purchased — I use it in a bedroom and it makes a tremendous difference! So quiet you don’t know it’s on and provides just the right amount of moisture to keep me breathing easy all through cold weather months.
My first one stopped working after 2 years for no apparent reason. I contacted Pure Enrichment customer service (not expecting much since warranty was 2 years) and they were back to me within one day! Asked for proof of purchase and some info regarding the problem, and a day later they contacted me thanking me for my purchase and advising they were shipping a new one to me. That’s the BEST, quickest customer service ever! Thank you Pure Enrichment! I love your product and your customer service!

Love this humidifier. I did a ton of research for the perfect humidifier for our nursery and I am super happy with this on. We use for our son’s room and it’s just awesome. Here are the highlights:

    PRO’s –
    – Super quiet
    – Sleek
    – Simple to use and hook and unhook for daily refilling
    – Super easy cleaning (the output spout comes off so you can fully clean the cylinder, I use a bottle brush and it works great).
    – Small, but good output

    CON’s –
    – The light! Don’t really know why the power light is so bright, but we just turn it around in our son’s nursery and move the little output spout. Works fine.
    – The beep. It beeps when you turn on and off. This doesn’t bother me like other people have commented, I simply turn it on before bedtime and off after he wakes up.

I am so happy with my decision. The pros SO outweigh the cons.

  19. P. Lee

Mine got the red light of death after three of weeks continuous use. I am actually going to try again and hope the second unit is better than the first as i do like the design and hopefully the replacement will not be one of the ten percent failures the reviews seem to represent. i would like a bit larger reservoir but it does run the entire night without a problem. returned the defective unit and will update review if i get more positive experience with the replacement.
Updating my review as in spite of my initial failure have had excellent customer support to address my issue. New unit in place and misting along!

For weeks I have been waking up in the middle of the night. I would have trouble with my nasal passages being so dry and congested I would be forced awake to clear my nose. The winter months, the heater would dry the air. Now the warmer months the fan and AC do the same.

The first night of using a humidifier for the first time showed a little improvement in my dryness and allowed me to sleep mostly uninterrupted. Now on the 3rd night I didn’t have any sleep interruptions at all. My nasal passages have remained clear. I also have reduced my frequency of waking with a headache and my eye stopped twitching (due to my extreme sleep deprivation).

I keep the unit on my bedside table and fill up the unit reservoir 2 times a day. I run it on the highest setting from around 2pm, the time I get home from work and this lasts until 9pm when I fill the tank before bed. When I wake up there is still 1/3 the supply of water left in the tank.

This humidifier was very easy to set up. Just fill with water and push the button. No assembly required. It has 4 settings that produce high/low volumes of “mist” with various states of blue LED illumination. The blue led light is very bright but calming to use during a darkened afternoon nap. I use the high mist/no light setting number 4 during my full nights rest. The touch control power/mode button illuminates a very bright blue and could be a concern for people that need absolute darkness during sleep. I noticed that it was too bright the first night and had to reposition the unit. I was able to turn the unit so the blue light faces away from me so it is not a distraction anymore.

I really like having this humidifier and I hope it lasts a long time. It’s only been a week and I plan on running it continuously for the foreseeable future. If it breaks I would buy a new one.

I purchased the Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier (model no. PEHUMIDIF) several months ago. I was waking up miserable in the mornings with dry mouth and sinuses. I was also experiencing frequent nose bleeds. I began using the humidifier at night in my bedroom which is 14 x 14 feet. After the first use I felt relief. I used the humidifier every night for until the midwest humidity set in. I cleaned the unit and have stored it for next winter.

The unit runs quietly and the subtle blue light can also serve as a night light. I am satisfied with the unit and would recommend it to others.

  22. John Knabe

A good product – aesthetically designed, easy to operate. A little difficult to clean though.
Easily runs throughout the night even on high output mode. Best part is that you do not need to worry about shutting it down when water runs out – it does that automatically.
I would recommend this product if you’re in market for a humidifier.

  23. AMG de Wet

We purchased this humidifier to increase the air humidity in our bedroom while we slept at night. Our bedroom is a small to medium sized master bedroom. As seen in the attached pictures the relative humidity in the bedroom was at 38%. After running the humidifier on the highest setting with both bedroom doors closed the most humidity change we saw was 42% with the meter sitting approximately 4 feet from the unit. When the meter is placed directly beside the unit, the relative humidity increased to 43%. After running the humidifier at full power for approximately 14 hours we saw no change in the overall relative humidity in the bedroom, as the meter read again at 38% humidity. Unless your head is directly over or right beside this unit you will not notice a change in the humidity in your room. This units output is not enough to make a noticeable difference. I will say however the unit is very quiet. We have decided to return this unit and purchase a larger unit with a larger ML per hour output.

This humidifier has done wonders for me. I have found that in the winter time, I tend to have a very dry nose and throat, which causes me to get frequent nose bleeds and wake up with a sore throat. I searched for small humidifiers that I could keep in my apartment room, to try to lessen the occurrence of these problems.
I would recommend this product to someone who has issues during the winter with dry nose, throat, skin, and lips.

This product works great! I have found that I only need to refill the water supply once a week. This humidifier is quiet and doesn’t make any noise or emit any light, which I personally enjoy. So far, this humidifier has helped me wake up feeling well refreshed and ready to start the day. I have noticed that since buying this humidifier, I have, in fact, reduced the amount of nose bleeds and sore throats I get.

The great thing about this specific humidifier, is it has four different settings and a nightlight. Setting one is low with no light, setting two is low with light, setting three is high with light, and setting four is high with no light. It gives you the option to take advantage of the light, or if you prefer to have no light, that is possible as well. In some cases, the room you put the humidifier in might not be that large, so you can get by with keeping the humidifier on a low setting. Often times the room you place your humidifier in is decent sized and will need to be placed on the higher setting. Either way, you have the option to choose what is best for you and your needs.

  25. Meghan Savercool

January air is horrible, and by February my sinuses were clogged with dried up crap I couldn’t remove without a very disgusting nosebleed occurring. I did a quick Google search and learned that I need a humidifier in the bedroom at night. I found this one on a lightning deal for ten dollars off, and it works. I am terrible with assembling things, but I thought I should at least try to put it together myself before I asked anybody to help me with it. I looked at the little brochure, looked at the humidifier…seriously? That’s it? Two parts plus a little disc that goes in the top of the neck to let me guide the steam in my direction. Couldn’t believe it. Done.
There is a downside that applies to every single humidifier, not just this one: if you have asthma, there will be a problem. My asthma is mild and isn’t irritated by having this thing in the room, but when I tried standing over it to inhale the steam faster for quicker relief, my lungs started whistling and I had to back off. Serious asthmatics should probably not have one in the bedroom. And it’s also important to know that you have to clean it. It’s not complicated, just vinegar water will do it (top chamber only), but if you let it sit over the summer and don’t clean it up, you will have way more problems when you use it again than you would if you didn’t have it at all.
There’s a nightlight feature that makes the upper half glow blue in the night. You can turn the nightlight off, and when we go to bed we do because it’s more light in the room than we want, but it’s surprisingly pretty. When the nightlight is off, the little button that tells you if it’s off or on still glows. When you start to run out of water, the button starts to blink red. If you sleep through it, it will shut itself off when there’s no more water at all.
The only problem, and the reason the fifth star is denied, is that it’s very cumbersome to refill. The base usually still has about an inch of water standing in it once the top chamber is empty, and so when you pick it up, it drips all over the place. I have taken to keeping a towel nearby, and I don’t even try to pick it up until I have the towel in one hand, ready to slide under the top chamber when I remove it. To refill, the unit is said to fit in most standard sinks, and it goes just fine in ours. You need two hands, one to keep it from falling over and one to turn the faucet. Then close it tightly, turn it right side up to get rid of most of the water that’s accumulated outside while you were filling it (this seems unavoidable), and slap that same towel over it when you are ready to step away from the sink. Another quick change from the towel to the base; now it’s ready to turn on. They say not to leave standing water in it for long, but sometimes I leave water in there for a few hours and it doesn’t appear to create mold or other health problems.
Ox, the oversized beagle pup, believed it was a steam-breathing monster and barked at it for two days.
I have used it for about a month, so I cannot speak to long term durability. Right now I’ll tell you, I’d buy it again for what I paid for it (thirty bucks plus tax) in a heartbeat.

  26. Lily_pnw

This humidifier works great to provide moisture to our bedroom. The only downside is the LED light in the button. The light is very bright and does not turn off. As someone who likes the room to the complete dark this is a downside.

  27. Yelena M

This cool mist humidifier did not disappoint. It’s nice and quiet for my work environment and all my co-workers are jealous of this little number. I live in an arid area and it helps with my dry nose and throat. It emits a cool mist so it’s more subtle than the warm humidifiers. The unit arrived on time and was super easy to set-up. Would recommend.

  28. Jennifer Robinson

This is a nice little humidifier if you have a small room. I purchased both this and the XL after reading the reviews. The regular is for a room max of 250 sq ft, and the XL is for a room of up to 500 sq ft. In my own opinion, the smaller humidifier would be better for a room size of about 150 sq feet. It only has two speed settings and on the high setting will have to make sure it is full to get through most of the night. The tank doesn’t hold much water. The plus is that it is easy to fill and is very quiet. I’m using it all day and night, but on the low setting, or I’ll be filling it all the time. I think if I had to buy another I would pick the XL size since it was only $20 more, and I don’t plan to place it on a night stand, since mine are made of wood. I’ve included a photo of the two side by side. Note the plug is different on the small one as well.

I bought this to humidify my bedroom while I sleep, as I’m prone to nosebleeds (gross, I know). I originally had a smaller unit that I ended up returning because I felt it made no difference in my room. This unit is much better.

For reference, my bedroom is about 170 square feet. I don’t think this unit really humidifies the entire room, but I have it on my nightstand positioned towards my face, so that does the job. I think it works much better at close proximity. The output is very good, though. You can see and feel the cool mist from about 2 feet away. The nightlight is alright – about the same output at a plug-in nightlight.

I use it every night when I sleep – about 8 hours a night – on high. I have to refill it every other day. This is a little more frequent than I’d like, but the refill process is pretty easy. You just unscrew a cap, fill the tank, replace the cap, and plop it back into the base.

I only gave 4 stars because it does accumulate mold / mildew. This is to be expected of any humidifier, but I was hoping I’d have a few months before I need to clean the unit, and I only get 6 weeks or so. That being said, it’s pretty easy to clean. I just run a Lysol wipe over any surface that stores water and could develop mold. Let it dry, refill it, and you’re good to go.

This Pure Humidifier model does exactly what the description of this product claims. It’s very quiet, can run on high for at least 11 hours, and it appears to be easy to clean and keep clean. I had never needed or used a humidifier until this purchase. Even if you don’t suffer from sinus problems give this machine or any other quality humidifier a try, you may find yourself sleeping much better, being more alert throughout the day, and having more energy like I do now. This is definitely one of the most important and life changing purchases I’ve made in my life that has taken my quality of life from abysmal to stellar. Lets just say that my dreams have returned and I’m waking up to a nice mist rather than a pillow of Kleenex and a sore nose. Life is good. Is a beautifully styled and made product that performs as advertised. Recommended.
